I’ve been establishing my career in technology since 2011 spending time in the financial and cyber security spaces. At my core, I’m an engineer passionate about creating scalable full stack applications, growing high performance teams, and engaging with my stakeholders to solve interesting problems while delivering great products.
As an engineer, my favorite way to spend time is with my headphones on writing code for whichever project I’m engaged with at the time. Coding applications, building their automated CI/CD and cloud deployments, this is my happy place especially when I’m learning something new.
As a teammate, I find the biggest rewards come the from successes and learning experiences from the team as a whole and celebrating the growth of both individual members and the group over time. Having led teams of various sizes, skillsets and seniorities of both direct reports and non, I can say it is truly incredible to see what mountains can be moved when a good team works together.
Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that, believe it or not, there’s more to life than work. I wasn’t kidding with the WebMD self-diagnosed “occasional workaholic”.
Outside of work year-round I can usually be found catching up on some much needed sleep, listening to a wide range of music (though I'm a metalhead at heart), reading a book, or brewing a good cup of coffee with any one of my many coffee accoutrements.
When the weather is nice, I'm riding my OneWheel, finding a beach to lounge on, or otherwise enjoying the outdoors.
In the winters I may be scratching the itch for snowboarding, enjoying the seaonal activities in New York, or just staying warm inside with a good movie or video game to keep my inner child alive and well.
My writings are published on Medium. This page taps into the RSS feed there.
